Hass avocado is the most preferred variety in both local and export markets. From its high yield and production, longer shelf life, easiness to handle and maintain, to its fast maturity, this should be the way to go. This variety will grow well in almost all regions in Kenya so long as there is enough water supply in the farm. Counties in central Kenya, Eastern, Central, Rift valley, Lower Nyanza and all western Kenya counties have the best climatic conditions for Hass avocado cultivation.
